About Thetford Arts Centre

Thetford Arts Centre is situated in the heart of Thetford, upstairs in the historic Guildhall. At this moment in time no lift is available.

Thetford Arts Centre is run by an administrator and a dedicated team of volunteers.

Thetford Arts Centre enables residents of all ages and abilities from Thetford and a wider area to experience a variety of visual and creative arts and crafts, developing and increasing interests and skills. This is achieved with an annual programme of free view exhibitions and activities including workshops, demonstrations and outings.

Thetford Arts Centre encourages local schools and child centred organisations to increase their participation in the Thetford Arts Scene by offering opportunities for children’s work to be exhibited.

Thetford Arts Centre works with Community Partners to provide a friendly venue open to all. The Palette Coffee Shop is a very popular meeting place for artists and friends of all ages. Tea, coffee, light refreshments and cakes are served daily.

We periodically hold competitions such as the annual Jack Pilling Memorial Competition. Open to all ages with many prizes. The Bob Jest Trophy for the best in show is awarded at this event each year.
